Is the great dragon CIS still alive? Its been 3 months since last program update?

The forum seems completely dead in terms of the development of the product? Is someone here still using CIS?

They had some excellent showing in av-test feb 2014 results and dropped in the next test.Hoping to see some new updates from them and I am sure they will jump back.

Also I realize from their forum a few days back I heard the comodo CIMA issue was going to be fixed in a couple of days as they were/are working on new infastructure.

    the list is long:

    - Comodo Time machine (abandoned)
    - DACS (Abandoned)
    - Comodo AV on Linux (no more updates)

Is the same thing going to happen to virus scope now?

    Spwar any update on comodo?
    Please!

Comodo is hype and hype stuff never stay hype long.

Not saying that their forum is maintained by volunteer, the devs almost never put their feet in , plus the fact that Melhi just appears when CIS is involved in a lab test and got very low/high score; you can have an idea of the why and how

I will add with the rise of the new hyped Qihoo, comodo is no more the only one free full suite.

Comodo will not be abandoned.... As for the board silence, yeah, that is unusual...
Maybe Comodo HQ is planning on new version architecture, so far it is red taped and no leaks...

Virus scope is their next weapon-of-choice, it will get updated, they just need to figure out how to implement recognisers without causing major damage for normal users...

Comodo and Qihoo are to be watched in terms of future developement, nice new features should come out of those two...

For once I don't agree with you. I don't think Comodo is hype. The AV may not be world class, but the rest of the program is full featured and excellent.

I agree with Austery, I've been using only Comodo Firewall for a long time and if you know how to tame it it's very powerful.

I agree...despite the Comodo trolls, I always liked the ability to tweak it from top to bottom. We'll see...

    i am already scared ^^

i don't say it is a bad product, i even use and praised v5 but i was disappointed since v6, i just said it is quite hyped (some feature are implemented and not ready-to-use) and many people (fanboy) says "it is da best" (like always with comodo) :D

I liked V5 better as well, and the fanboys are annoying...but it IS a solid product. Yes, quite a few new features not implemented correctly.

Lol, are Comodo folks really all that bad?

Same here. Somehow I could never make CIS v6.x to work properly no matter what I did.

Their software is a broken mess and their forum support is filled with ignorant troll fanboys. More than a year has passed and they still haven't fixed the damn samples submission thing. It's still churning out "cannot find the specified path" nonsense. How can anyone take anyone seriously if they can't seem to be able to fix their functions in such enormously long time. They'll of course make up all sorts of stupid excuses, but sorry, anyone with a gram of brain will not take them seriously. Such things are fixed in a month time if it's a bigger infrastructure issue, not still being broken after several months time. And you're suppose to have your computer security in their "capable" hands. Right. Not me.

The attitude of the staff and mod is still the same, fanboys lvl100 so I would say that nothing has change, it just they aren't making a lot of noise lately.
At least CIS very is good.

I quit using Comodo because I am unable to even install any of their security products. I always get errors that the installation files are invalid. Never could get an answer from them.
