I recently installed Back and Recover Home 14 and I have been trying to make a boot disk with BMB.

I've followed the instructions but the disk fails with the following message:

    Windows Boot Manager
Windows has encountered a problem communicating with a device connected
    to your computer.

This error can be caused by unplugging a removable storage device such
as an external USB drive while the device is in use, or by faulty
hardware such as a hard drive or CD-ROM drive that is failing. Make
sure any removable storage is properly connected and the restart your
    computer.

If you continue to receive this error message, contact the hardware
    manufacturer.

    Status: 0xc00000e9
Info: An unexpected I/O error has occurred.

My windows disk will boot as well as an older Bart disk I used for my XP computer. I've tried numerous times with the same results.

I'm running Win7 64 and did a clean reinstall prior to installing B&R Home 14.

After banging my head against a wall. I discovered the problem was a corrupted CD disk which I kept re-writing to. The files wrote to the disk but did not run the program. As simple as switching to a new disk which is working as advertised.

    Nothing like self help.
