I've only noticed it when I'm on the MSN homepage and only in x64 Firefox variant Cyberfox v30. It isn't there in Firefox v30. Thank you!

Thank you so much! I forgot I'd installed that in response to the well documented issue of Adblock Plus starting later than Firefox versions 29 and above. MSN just happens to be one of those sites that has a lot of scripts going on from the instance it's opened and had one ad which would render briefly before AbP would nuke it.
I found a better way to deal with it, however. I run AbP plus Bluhell Firewall. They work wonderfully together, sort of like bff!

Bye the way, you might find this interesting! The initial ad was a script overstock.com ad which RIP handled, however, it was replaced (the exact size and location) by a flash Kraft Foods ad. Right clicking it during the approximate 1.5 seconds available did not bring up the RIP context menu so I couldn't stop it.
I don't want to block all flash, scripts, etc. so this setup I'm using now is perfect for me!

Glad to help. I used to use RIP and still remember the grave marker icon.
