Recommendations for a firewall that can 'block all' except whitelisted items

I'm hoping that you knowledgeable folks can help me out. I'm looking for a firewall that can block all internet access except for a few apps that I whitelist. I want to be able to do this easily as I'll have to do this often.

Another requirement is that it doesn't block Teamviewer right after installation since I want to install this firewall on a remote computer that I'm connecting to via Teamviewer. I've tried Tinywall and it immediately locked me out which caused me a lot of trouble.

Any recommendations?

What you are asking is like a combination of stuffs and also not practical ( As per my knowledge)..

Eg.

1) You want everything to be locked out expect for your own white list.: Default Deny Policy
2) TeamViewer not to be blocked: Application Whitelisting based on reputation

Both your statements contradicts,

if you want (1) only you can't get (2) coz you need to whitelist the app yourself else its not what you want i.e. Default Deny

And

if you want (2) you won't get (1) coz (2) will whitelist by default many other apps that are included in their database and will hence be allowed outgoing connections if you install those apps..

You can use Comodo Firewall (Well here n other places many don't suggest coz its not that user friendly yet) as it has both Default Deny Policy and Application WhiteListing...

I'd suggest stick to TinyWall or WFC, and have the Default Deny.. Its useful for novice users in your case your clients...

Pretty much any and all application firewalls can do what you're looking for. Even Windows 7 fw will do that. I suppose 8.x as well but I've never used that O/S so I can't be sure.

What OS are you running on both your PC and the Remote PC(s)?
Does the remote computer already have a firewall that blocks all inbound connection attempts unless whitelisted?
