    Yes, this is getting ridiculous, now even smart TV´s are not save anymore.

    Perhaps it´s better if everything goes via the DVB-C and IPTV signal, to avoid having to connect your TV to the internet. :)

    The TV's don't need to be internet connected to be abused by this technique. That's what the link is about !

    Hmmm my bad, I´ve done some reading and it´s still not completely clear to me. Isn´t this more like a "man in the middle" attack, where in fact the system of providers have to be hacked first?

    Edit: I´ve done some more reading, and it seems that you´re only vulnerable if you´re using wireless TV like satellite.
    So they can´t hack the HbbTV signal if you´re using wired TV, like cable or fiber. :)

    Yeah it's a MITM via RF = wireless/radio waves as in digital TV
