hi i can't get the update via firefox may i ask a question about adblock plus and fanboy's social blocking list? i did notice that its brokes 500px , a photo share site i know i can disable adblock plus for a site or a page but i would like to know if i can disable fanboy's social blocking list for a webpage? in short if i can disable a subscription for a site thanks
I believe exception rules, be they in a subscription or your custom filters, will override other rules no matter where those other rules happen to be. One idea would be to create a domain restricted exception rule that overrides whatever rule is causing you problems at that site. This exception rule would be put in your custom filters. One way to do this (on FF at least) is to bring up the blockable items list and see what is getting blocked (will be in red). Zero in on what ever is causing you problems (through analyzing the page source, or trial and error if you dare) and then double click on that red rule. A dialog will popup, prepared to create an exclusion rule for you. If you click on the advanced view button you will get some helper controls. One of which is "Restrict to domain". If you click that checkbox you can see how it affects the New Filter. Example. I have a ||fonts.googleapis.com^ rule to block everything from that host regardless of which website I'm visiting. To override that rule for all domains, the exception rule would be: @@||fonts.googleapis.com^. To override that rule for wordpress.com, the exception rule would be: @@||fonts.googleapis.com^$domain=wordpress.com.
They are one team now The linked forum is their home and it is the place for reporting problems with fanboy The fanboy forum is now dead
