I know it hasn't been updated in awhile, just curious if people still use TinyWall (on Windows 7)?
Haven't heard any thing about it lately.

I am using it. I like it. The problems with some programs aggressive updaters and whitelisting regarding TW gui not being most stable I have mentioned latest with this post: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/thre...curity-application.364196/page-2#post-2374412

What do you mean with loading intermittently?

This front end has issues loading properly on my machines or even uninstalling ,simple as that.

No issues with wfc though ,wfc got more mature.

The nickname is not russkie ,it means "seeker" an was intended for such ,so write it as is.For specific users may mean something else though and they are not Russians ,different language all together.:)

With WFC letting inbound connections without permission, I am looking for an alternative.

TinyWall won't allow any inbound (or outbound) connections not whitelisted in a Normal Protection setting. Of what are in control of Windows firewall. There are things like with some proxies that Windows firewall can't control. These are the rules that replace Windows firewall rules as default ones in TinyWall: http://www.saunalahti.fi/~jarmos3/TinyWall_rules.jpg

Every ones internet connecting programs running are different, so I can't share my settings with anyone else, only keep them as a backup for myself. And I have learned to save them since I have learned from say Flash updater braking TinyWall. And needs to reinstall.

Again another short comment with no eplanation. The comment about uninstalling TW. What you mean with that?

TinyWall works well on my Windows 7 computer. My only problem is that the gui is not stable against some updaters. The solution is to allow outgoing and once all is updated, bring back the protection to normal. I know it is not optimal. Enough for me.
