Please post a top 10, top 20 or top 25. It can be software that you´re impressed with, or that you use a lot for example. I recently bought a new Win 8 machine, and these where the apps, that I just had to install first. :)

Oh mai gawd what have I done to my computar?!

Note: I know the list is only 25 at max. But I was playing around with many software and those software I have listed really gave me good impressions out of them. Sorry for the superfluous list, can't simplify it. Might as well serve as a recommendation list for those who are in a quest of finding software to do certain purposes. :D

EDIT: Removed XenForo. I just remembered that I actually have never installed it. I've mistaken it with the live demo I tried a few while before we moved to XenForo. Then there's my memory disappointing me again. =V

    1. Fusion Tweaker - the undervolting, a necessity for any notebook.
    2. Cleanmem - frees RAM better than Windows ever did and will.
    3. CCleaner - magically fixes many problems + startup manager.
    4. Yandex browser - Russian chrome with its own sync server.
    5. Wise Care 365 Free - all in one maintenance tool + safe.

The rest are common apps, easily replaced by other freeware options if needed, but those 5 are irreplaceable.

Thanks for posting, I really appreciate it. :)

However, I think I should have been more clear. Some of you guys are not playing by the rules! You should post either a minimum of 10 or a maximum of 20 or 25 apps. It´s all about making choices. So almost everyone, except for Sampei Nihira should edit their post. :D

Note about my list: I would have added TinyResMeter (v0.98.0.2) to the list, but it didn´t work correctly on Win 8.

I too. I realized though that actually I don't use them anymore because of prevalence of other video formats and ways of obtaining videos. I cannot remember when I brought a DVD last time. Nowadays when many online video/movie services are available Slysoft's business could be in danger, imo.

    Other my favourite applications:
Opera (Chromium) with a few extensions
    CCleaner
    Revo Uninstaller
    Viber
    VLC
    Total Commander

Yeah, I didn't obey the OP rules too but not intentionally. The problem is that we have several similar threads on Wilders dealing with preferred ... favored ... installed ... best etc. software. Then there is easy to lose the essence of such threads.
