Or just any you recommend. And please no Windows components.

As you can see, I'm a freeware and security junkie. Now hack me.

    Edit:
I did say every software, except Windows components right? So to all you standalone geeks (myself included), unzipped software counts, if you want to list them.

And to all those too lazy to write, do you see me writing much? Screenshots are your friend.

    - Perfect Cherry Blossom
    - Imperishable Night
    - Mountain of Faith
    - Subterranean Animism

The variety of genres is... :cautious:

Anyways, that reminds me to find an anime game since I'm a big fan of it.

I have been grown up with STG, perhaps have been playing this genre for about 10 years, although I just started to seriously grinding my skill for these last 2 or 3 years. The games emulated in MAME all are also STGs, mainly from CAVE.

As far as I can observe, games which such theme commonly can be found in RPGs.

Yeah, I'll look into that later. First up is Super Cosplay War Ultra (too hard). Then it's Cave Story (not anime-like enough). Then maybe visual novels, though replay value is important to me (not keeping any). Then I'll see about RPGs, don't want another MMO (turns out to be virtually impossible, but I still found some interesting games like Pangya [broke my system] and Tales Runner [too many bundled bloatware needed to play, anti-theft won't allow Process Explorer]).

Cause Avira was custom installed as an on-demand scanner. Doesn't seem to load anything at startup either, other than a scheduler service and tray that can be disabled.

If I include all of the freestanding applications and utilities I have, the list would be over 100 items long. I'll post a partial list for my primary system.
    SeaMonkey
    Palemoon
    Proxomitron
    NVU
    Kerio
    SSM
    PDFXchange
    Notepad++
    Multiple cliboard utility
    Tor
    PGP-CKT
    Scramdisk
    Open SSL
    IrfanView
    SocksCap
    WinPCap
    7Zip
    VPC
    Apache
    Putty
    WinSCP
    WinMerge
    Universal Extractor
    Wink
    Gimp
    NDN

Too many of these to list individually plus a few I won't list.
Half a dozen system, file, and folder integrity monitoring tools
Multiple editor, unpacker, debugging, and archive manipulation utilities
About a dozen internet monitoring, analysis, and tracking utilities
Multiple disk, partition, and file system utilities and editors
Multiple disk/drive/partition imaging, mounting, and editing tools
    Several registry tools
At least 20 system and process utilities

I always tend to pile up useless software over time or i mean software that i need once and never use again, which is why i like to format every couple months or so.

My usual must have apps are:

    Audacity
    Fox It Reader
    Google Chrome
    Winrar
    uTorrent
    Steam
    WinDirStat
    UltraSearch
    Defraggler
    Daemon Tools
    CCleaner
    Microsoft Office
    Recuva
    Hitman Pro
    Emsisoft Anti Malware
    Online Armor
    Keepass

    Thats pretty much all.
As i said in the beginning, i current have way more than that but those are my must have apps. The other ones are mostly things/tools that i need for that special moment . . . hahahaha

No Kidding. When my machine is idle, it has 99 processes running. If someone can give me a good reason as to why it would help them, I'd do it.

Well, I don't know of others' motivations. But I personally want to showing off that I have the slimmest system in this forum, from what I can tell.

    . . . .

Oh hold it, oh dear gawd apparently I have the slimmest system as well as the slimmest security setup! Where's GWR when you need them?!

On a more serious note, my system has become more stable. The only time something went wrong is usually caused by my own tweaks and it's rather easy to track the source of the problem.
