Is anyone getting any support in the Sandboxie forum?

It appears that the help that is being given, if any, is very limited.

I give it a thumbs down. Of course, this topic will bring certain individuals skidding in here to tell you how exceptional the forum support is, but I don't see it, and I haven't haven't experienced it.
There are more guys supposedly there to help, but combined they do less than tzuk.

Chinook, a few days ago you posted this thread at the Sandboxie forum.
    http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=18764

Since we are getting older and our memory is not very good anymore, perhaps you enabled Direct file access to your Download folder. I know sometimes when I play with settings to test something, I forget afterward to change it back. And only find out about it later. Check it out.

In my personal case, in two computers, I have never seen downloads bypass sandboxing unless I allow Direct file access to the Downloads folder.

    Bo,

Thanks for the recommendation. I checked Direct Access and I am not allowing it.
More recently I have had downloads that did not go directly outside the sandbox and one or two that did. I haven't changed anything during this whole period.

NOTE: I hope by initiating this thread I do not disparage the efforts and valuable service provided by Bo and others on the Sandboxie forum. Its just that Sandboxie is relied upon by many and the Sandboxie forum was previously used by the Sandboxie owner/developer to provide superb support. From what I can see the level of support provided by the present owners of Sandboxie is limited to nonexistent.

That is what I understood this thread to be about... Invincea employees and what they do or don't bring to the table.
Guys like Bo and Paul (to quickly name just two) are great assets to the forum.

I've found the forum to be slightly less useful these days. The responses seem to be more calculated, less direct and followed up with alot of 'when we CAN get to it' type responses. (implying that they are unable to work on it at this time) I can almost imagine memos on the desk of the Invincea employees reminding them of what they should not say (or how to say things.) as well as que's decided by some bigwig on what they should be working on instead of giving them the freedom to do things closer to the way tzuk did.

They acquired sandboxie nearly a year prior to it being made public, I'd expect things to have 'moved along' more rapidly since the transition. Don't get me wrong, I love sandboxie- my fingers are crossed that there will be some miraculous reversal and we'll see the program begin to make leaps and bounds after the new devs are familiar with the code. I haven't given up on Invincea yet, but I can't deny that the forum (and releases-betas) have taken a tumble.
