I am trying AirVPN service recently. Seeming I am experience dropped connections very frequently. If I switch to a different VPN service provider, I do not see so many dropped connections. One of my VPN I can browse internet for few hours but no drops. With AirVPN, I drop every 20 or 30 minutes some time it seems on some server.
I have system configuration so that when connection drops, nothing is transmitted, so I can tell quickly that the connection is dropped. Then when I try to log into server again, I can not and I have to try different server.

Anyone else experiencing this with AirVPN? Or maybe it is my settings.

I see maybe one drop per week for AirVPN, so it's either the server that you're using, or something messed up in your configuration. Check the AirVPN status page, and see if you're using a server that's often maxed out. If you're using TCP-mode for the VPN link, try UDP instead. Or maybe vice versa ;) Set "verb 5" in your configuration, and look through the connection log. That should tell you what's causing openvpn to reconnect.

We have talked about this problem with AirVPN extensively in the past, I'm sure someone will come and bring up links to the old threads.

Same as Mirimir here. I doubt I drop once a week even. I am solidly connected using both Windows and Linux systems. Both OS's are firewalled for the rare dropped connection. I wouldn't brag about another vpn provider by saying you can go a few hours without dropping. Dropped connections on ANY provider should be somewhat rare. I don't drop from my other providers either, except rarely. Also, like Mirimir that includes multi hop scenario's as well, which by definition are more prone to connection issues.

Air dropped on me quite a few times. But it REALLY dropped a lot after installing Comodo's Internet Security. And I told it to allow Air. But for some reason it kept disconnecting. But even without Comodo it disconnected and allowed my bare connection through. If Air can't even bother to block connections when their VPN fails, then I have no interest in them. The average user doesn't know how to use firewall rules an that sort of thing and I just think it's incredibly irresponsible for them not to protect the vast majority of their customer base with a simple fix. I use Mullvad and Private internet access. PIA has dropped a few times. Not sure why. But I have the kill switch checked and it works. Mullvad never disconnects.

My pfSense Box is running 24/7 with 2 AirVPN Gateways and since months no drops except the one during night. But it can depend of which server you are connected. In my case the European server a working very well.

This, exactly this. Disconnects? sure the icon may stay blue but I can almost guarantee if you don't have your firewall set up tightly you will be leaking your real IP. I know this because i got a (1) month trial a while back and ran wireshark captures for a week and found out it would disconnect without changing color or alerting the user a lot.

Air disconnects without changing color? Wow! This almost seems intentional. I will never use them again. I guess I need to learn how to use Wireshark.

Wireshark can be rather intimidating. It can do many things, and its menu tree is full of unfamiliar words. However, given access to the Web, it's not hard to learn basics like capturing, filtering, following streams, and listing conversations between endpoints. Just capture some packets, and play. You can't break anything ;)

Its not hard to learn, any names you don't understand look up on Wikipedia for what they do and learn one at a time. I'm self taught on wireshark this way, I would just play around and learn until it became easy.

My entire network is connected 24/7 to AirVPN via my DD-WRT router. I have no issues at all with them. I also don't rely on any VPN's client software to protect me from disconnects. I'm covered by a simple iptables command in my router's firewall.

I was using a server that was having problems. It was showing lot of dropped connections on AirVPN servers latest issues list.
Also, some kind of problem maybe with my firewall and UDP. There was lot of "no buffer space available" errors.
