Would anyone know what this is? It only shows up in Macrium. I formatted the drive, full not quick. I attached two pictures, one of Macrium and the other Disk Management. I'm using the latest version of Macrium on Windows XP.

    allizomeniz,

I assume it is a U3 partition. These don't show in Disk Management and you need a special procedure to remove it.

    hqsec,

In the Macrium page the 200 MB partition is the EFI System partition and the 128 MB partition is the MSR. I suggest they be imaged once. But you don't have to restore the images unless you are replacing the HD. Then all partitions should be restored.

Thank you for all the great info. I believe it must be U3 though I'll have to look more into it.

I've got two identical Sandisk flash drives, both 64 GB. When I choose to "show protected operating system files," I see a hidden "System Volume Information" folder in both. But only one of them shows in Macrium. Hard to say why I guess.

I don't think my disks are U3. I ran the U3 Launcher Removal Tool from Sandisk and it didn't recognize either one of them. I think U3 is also supposed to create a system tray icon which mine don't.

I did solve the issue though with the command prompt and diskpart. I won't go into detail because to be honest I'm not really sure what I did and I wouldn't recommend anyone else try it. But the drive's healthy and Macrium doesn't show a hidden partition now. :D
