After many years running on vBulletin, the Wilders Security Forums have now been converted over to XenForo.

There will be things that still need to be worked out, but, most of the major things are in place.

It will be a learning curve for all of us, members and forum staff alike. So, let's all try to have patience.

Let me know if you find anything really out of place or troublesome.

The puppy favicon is the one that's in place when you see the plain text "downtime" page. You probably were here when that page was up and that favicon is in your cache. If you close out and return, you'll like pick up the xF logo instead.

not really happy about the change. two things i don't like: it is to bright for my eyes, and i can't collapse the forum sections i never visit.

LE: yeah, and my avatar image has gone, i only see a question mark.

The "read thread" markers don't carry over from a forum software change. It may be best if everyone executes the "Mark Forums Read" (upper left side on navigation bar) so that you start cleanly with new thread highlighting going forward.

You can use option Watch forum and then select watched forums on top to filter them.

Actually, the server load side is down. What is defintely "heavier" is the client rendering. The old forum was mostly text and a little mark up. This is much more complex and heavy with javascript and the like.

It is definitely slower for me, but, my PC is many years old. Watching the CPU monitor in the systray shows the spike in browser effort for every click here.

What I did was I switch off the rich text editor. It's just too CPU intensive for this PC. The plan text entry box causes zero CPU spiking when composing posts.

It's in preferences (untick): "Use the rich text editor to create and edit messages"

sorry, didn't got that. i only want to see the forum section beginning with "security products". iwant to collapse everything until this section (as i setted it up in the old layout). now i can't (or don't know how to) do that. i must scroll way down to find what i'm interested in. any way to get this as it was?

The forum complained about my browser ! (IE 7, customized)

This is on a WIN XP setup. I have tried IE 8 but just cannot stand it.

And although I have another browser that I could use, I am accustomed to browsing this forum with IE 7.

    This as a side note.

    It is definitely different.
