    Hi,

I'm taking Bitdefender AV 2014 for a spin just now and as compared to my previous setup which was Emsisoft IS my boot time went from 38seconds to 1minute 5 seconds! I checked my startup items and I saw that aside from Bitdefender agent there is Bitdefender Wallet application there. Now the boot time is too long for me. Using Glary Utilties Pro ver4 I disabled the wallet application from starting up. I also disabled it in the Bitdefender gui. Restarted and it was still the same it started and it was there again. Now I managed to chop some seconds by pacing the wallet application on delayed-start. Glary now shows 47seconds but still sow unlike when I had Emsisoft IS.

I have also placed exclusions for Emsisoft folders/Bitdefender folders respectively so they won't interfere with each other.

Are there any tips you guys can give me as a first time user of BD AV 2014?

    Thanks ;)

Is there anything that I can do to make it boot faster?

Also I seem to cannot see where can I backup my configuration for Bitdefender AV 2014? How can I back it up?

It was nice of you to have replied here. I have gone back to using Emsisoft IS week after my post as I have not had the help I needed.

An increased boot time is to be expected when running two AV/AM programs. In order to get a like-for-like comparison, it might have been better to have uninstalled Emsisoft first before trialling Bitdefender. As Emsisoft already includes the Bitdefender engine, there's no point in running both.
