Digital Patrol (http://www.proantivirus.com/en/index.php) is a trojan scanner that's been around a while and claims to be a top notch trojan detector and detect other spyware too (don't they all)

"Digital Patrol a powerful anti-trojan scanner, which detects and eliminates more than 70000 Trojan Horses and Spywares. Digital Patrol detects viruses, trojans, worms, spyware, malicious ActiveX controls and Java applets.

Digital Patrol finds 100% trojan programs in-the-wild, i.e. those trojan programs which are really spread over the Internet. Digital Patrol finds and deletes computer viruses and trojans from your computer.

# Best backdoor and worm protection.
# Keyloggers, porno-dialers, porno-downloader protection.
# Detects and removes more then 71691 "Trojan Horses".
# Removes the "active trojan" from a disk, even if it is blocking the file.
# Removes trojan files that are locked for writing (e.g. DLLs being used).
# User friendly interface.
# Scans: system memory and autorun areas (detects viruses, worms and trojans, which are running).
# Scans: archives (ZIP, RAR, ARJ, Microsoft CAB, InstallShield CAB) and mailbases (Outlook Express, TheBat!, PlainMain, e.t.c.)."

i never see it mentioned on these forums or elsewhere for that matter - has anyone used it to good effect?

I've heard of it and it has been around for awhile. I have never tried it myself though.

Hi guys .
I am surprised that this program is , apparently , scarin you . It is ok to use . At least , it was a few months back .
Is it a good AT ? It is ok . Nothing great . It is mediocre at what it does . It has a nice look but , not the strongest protection by far . Decent though .

I ran Digital Patrol too :
Total scan time : 31m38s - very fast ::)
Total infections : 0 - like the rest of my scanners.
You must be a big fan of definition-based scanners, to keep this one.

When you want to earn money : write the n'th scanner, put it on a website, ask $24.95 for it and tell everybody your scanner is the very best in the world.

$24.95 - very reasonable Erik - i will take 2 (if the first one doesn't find anything then i can run the second just to double check) ;D
