When multiple applications are starting at the same time (including some that connect to the internet), LnS mistakenly asks permission sometimes (program X has started program Y, allow this yes or no) for programs that have not started any other program at all.

Are you sure that X didn't start Y ? it wouldn't be a bug if not.
Can you describe here which application is started and causes bugs ?
Thanks.
Guillaume.

Bug or no bug, in this case I'm 100% sure I'm right. Over the past few weeks this has happened a number of times. Known and trusted programs are supposed to have launched my email program or kazaa for example. It's not clear when exactly this happens, so I can't give more information. The next time it happens (and it definitely will) I'll let you know which programs were involved.

May be a workaround while the pb is investigated should be to give full access to your application which access the Internet.
For example, if Look'n'Stop warns you that X starts Y, the fact to give X the right to launch others applications should solve the pb ?
To do this you have to be in "advanced mode".
Hope this help :-\

Hey BVV
You are correct currently, I’m using version 2.04p2 with newest Application Filtering Driver and I had noticed some false Alerts.
Example;
---
WINRAR.EXE
C:\PROGRAM FILES\WINRAR.EXE
This software has started the following application which connects to internet. Do you authorize it to do that ?
Kazaa Lite
C:\PROGRAM FILES\KAZAA LITE\ KAZAALITE.KPP
| | Just this time | | Just this session | | Direct connection allowed
---
or
---
Microsoft Word
C:\PROGRAM FILES\MICROSOFT OFFICE\OFFICE10\WINWORD.EXE
This software has started the following application which connects to internet. Do you authorize it to do that ?
Look 'n' Stop Personal Firewall
C:\PROGRA~1\SOFT4E~1\LOOKNS~1\ LOOKNSTOP.EXE
| | Just this time | | Just this session | | Direct connection allowed
---

Hey gkweb
It happens under abnormal circumstances, to be truthful the 1st alert happens once in a blue-moon and the 2nd alert just happen once, just before I poster. But besides that I never encounter any other anomalies with Application Filtering Layer.
But in any case there is no Security Issue here, so no one should ph33r this anomaly. ;)
