For anyone more familiar with Erunt than I am, perhaps you could tell me something, that's left me a bit confused about the program. The Readme file says:

"System Requirements-------------
- Windows NT/2000/XP to run the backup program
- MS-DOS or Windows 9x/Me/NT/2000/XP to run the restore program."

So, maybe I'm just dense (tonight), but it sounds like you have to have 1 OS to run reg. backup, but yet another OS, to restore it. Now, that can't be right, is it? I'm using WIN98 SE, and would love to try Erunt judging from what I've read about it, but am not sure if I can(?)

Thanks, for info/help. SG1 (Pat)

Hi Pat,

I´ve been over the helpfile: http://home.t-online.de/home/lars.hederer/erunt/erunt.txt a few times.
What I make of it, this program was designed for NT/2000/XP to give you the same options as Win9x has built in.

-{ Quote: "
Also, Windows 9x/ Me automatically creates backups of the registry at
startup, with Windows 95 always backing up the registry from the
previous Windows session, and Windows 98/ Me maintaining up to five registry copies from the last five days where Windows was running." }-

So I don´t see what advantages this program could give you, if you´re using Windows 98.

Pieter
