Spywareguard not updating when I use live update

Hi all! :D

I am having problems updating my spywareguard

I have version 2.2
definitions date 8-30-03

and when I click update it tells me:

"There was an error downloading updates."

I know the current defination date is something like 1-22-04

I have XP home, service pack 2 all the ms updates
I have :

spywareblaster,
spybot
ms beta spyware
zone alarm
avg
I use Fx NOT IE

I've uninstalled the program twice and re-installed it again, same message.


Any help would be great.

I have a similar problem with SpywareGuard. My definitions file is dated:1/22/04

That can't possibly be right...

Saving those files forementioned to the SpywareGuard folder did not change anything. (Yes I did reboot).

Any other suggestions would be appreciated!

Don't understand how it can be effective if the data is that old ??? but perhaps I've misunderstood how it works - will read that over again and see if I understand then.
