Ok what did I mess up?I was setting up Nod following the directions on here and now when I press "Update Now" ,i get " server connection error?"What did I do and how do I fix it? Thanks

trial or full version?
If it's full, the most common cause is a mis-typed username and/or password - they are both case sensitive.
It might also be the port or server are blocked by firewall...

Try taking a look through This Thread (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=37509) and make sure you have servers set to "Choose Automatically".

good thought Craig - trials update from a different set of update servers right? So, if you select anything other than "choose automatically" - the trial can't authenticate, so it doesn't get updates....
I feel a wish list coming on - something along the lines of a more detailed set of error messages in that update area - plus the default set of servers for the trial version being LIMITED to choose automatically - perhaps with a comment in the drop-down that functionality is restricted in the trial, but not in the full version...
