The entire product line has been upgraded. Here's what's new for the Pro version:
* POP email not working when co-existing with NAV
* VSMON crashes when visiting some websites with privacy enabled
* Anti-Spyware update sometimes "not responding"
* AV scan will hang on certain files
* VSMON crashes when sending IDLock item via email
* On some machines Antivirus/Antispyware can't be enabled
* Propel compatibility issue
* SmartDefense Advisor not working with Proxy
* Multiple 'loopback' entries in firewall zones after upgrade

I'm wondering why the update feature in ZA isn't working.
It didn't tell me about 6.x either when I was using 5.9.something on my other machine (freebie version).

The Update Servers have not been turned on yet. If you want to jump ahead of the bandwagon, you should get it from http://www.zonelabs.com

the "new and improved features" is not too encouraging to me:
" New and improved features in ZoneAlarm Antivirus version 6.0.667.000
* Fixed - POP email not working when co-existing with NAV
* Fixed - Free ZA blocking some Remote access software from accessing ZA Alert notifications
* Fixed - Propel compatibility issue
* Fixed - Multiple 'loopback' entries in firewall zones after upgrade"
I had 5.5 free, it dropped the internet connection after a varying period of time. I had to reboot the modem and PC all the time. But... 6 series came out and I was stoked. I read bad things at forums but decided to take the plunge about two weeks ago. Within 10 days I was bluescreening, one morning, eight times in a row with random reboots. Yeah! My boot up times for a P4 2.8 laptop with 512 meg of RAM and an ATI 9600/9700 video card was way too slow. Nearly 3 minutes. I uninstalled Zone Alarm. Now no problems at all, fast boot up.
They have a big blue screen of death instruction post in their official forum. It seems that a humble mention of this major problem and a fix would be in order in order instead of:
" New and improved features in ZoneAlarm Antivirus version 6.0.667.000
* Fixed - POP email not working when co-existing with NAV
* Fixed - Free ZA blocking some Remote access software from accessing ZA Alert notifications
* Fixed - Propel compatibility issue

****** However, it is friendly land kind of you to include links for those who have had better luck with this software. I will pass until they fix their software. As soon as I told my boss that I put zone alarm on his laptop (my work computer) he related a nightmarish story of crashes and bluescreens and lost data. I thought that he was lame and did not say much... I was well on my way to the same experience.
