Hi I'm planning on buying an Intel based mobo with ICHR7 southbridge and want the following config:
* IDE drive with win xp installation in a separate partition (for image reasons not on RAID 0, because it will contain more than just the OS, and therefore hard to image)
* 2 sata drives with Intel matrix raid (= a RAID 0 volume and a RAID 1 volume)
I'm planning to backup my IDE win xp partition on the RAID 1 volume.
If my IDE drive crashes, will I be able to restore (from the True Image 8 boot cd) my winxp partition onto a new IDE/SATA drive, with the image residing on the RAID 1 Volume?
Thanx,
Paul.
