I have read a few times that there is a trial version that becomes free ? I have never seen that before. I am looking for real-time protection to as to MSAS and Spyware Blaster.
Thanks.

You can find more info about the free and the plus (not free) version here:

Realtime protection with Ewido is not free. Only the on-demand scanner will be free after 14 days trial I think.

a note: there is not a single free antitrojan that also has a resident scanner. however ewido is well worth teh purchase. its very good at detecting trojans and spyware.

I have been using Ewido, paid, for about 10 months, and am very pleased with it. It has found a few spyware type items that everything else missed.
I think I would rather use a free AV and Ewido if I was only going to pay for one. However, KAV has such an excellent reputation, that would be a good way to go and then use a free AT assuming KAV runs well on your system.
