I just d/l and installed Nod32 trial version. Amon has been running for just over 6 hours and has only scanned 5000 files. is this normal, is something wrong? i know the computer has a virus, moo.reg. really wanna remove that buggar. any help is greatly appreciated.

okay, so i noticed it keeps scaning two files a lot, win.ini and hosts. hmm, sure hope someone can offer advice : )

Amon is the resident scanner and I believe only scans files in use. Sounds like you haven't run the on demand scanner yet. You should use it. (But first update the virus signatures if you haven't already, using the control center (CC). )

I believe that is the k0wb0t trojan/worm, just update and it should be detected. If you have any problems pm/email me if you wish

If it is K0wbot, you can also try the removal tool at Bitdefender

You might need to run this in tool in save mode to remove all components.
