Hi,

I was using BD 7 Free as a ondemand scanner. I uninstalled it, downloaded BD8 Free and installed it.
When I start the program, it says that "This version of BD has expired"!!!!!!

How can a free program expire? I have never heard about this problem anywhere!

Any comments?

Thanks
Abhishek

Hi,

I had exactly the same problem.

I went to http://www.bitdefender.com/site/Live-Assistance.html where a kind support person gave me a licence. Put it in a word or text document as you will need to reboot your computer. It will then come up with would you like to register Bitdefender on bootup.

Then enter the seriul number and away you go.

Cheers

Jlo

@abhi_mittal:

You can try to delete the following entries found in the win.ini:

[Internal]
Device=ËÆÊÌÎÉɽϾȺ˼ϾÉÈÊÈ
Install=1096294451
Install2=1096294451
Device2=ËÆÊÌÎÉɽϾȺ˼ϾÉÈÊÈ

After a restart you should install BD again.

Fine...installed it properly.

BD Free is running 4 processes!!!!
bdmcon.exe
bdss.exe
xcommsvr.exe
bdnewsagent.exe

Which are the essential services to keep BD up and running?
