Hi, i have been looking into rootkits and how to detect them and i came across all the usual programs such as Rootkit revealer, unhackme, KProcCheck, rkdetector. I have come across one program that im not sure of called RootKitHunter from this site > http://directory.fsf.org/security/system/RootkitHunter.html , i was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this program and is it safe to download, (also are there any other programs that are worth trying out?)

Thanx for any replys, :)

Hi Tom,

I posted about this in another thread which you may like to have a look at.

The reference includes rkhunter along with a very large number of other such programs etc for Windows and other OS's. And also an incredible amount of other information etc on RK's.

I hope you find it helpful.
