Administrator/ Limited User Account?

From what I have read using a Limited User Account to do your surfing and all will minimize the risk of the nasties. My main question is, how well this account would work with, (functional wise) all your programs, or are there drawbacks with this set up as well?

I suggest reading the following blog: http://blogs.msdn.com/aaron_margosis/
yeah it is from microsoft, but it is great blog and some great info and advices are in there... I just recently started to run as Limited User and due to this blog I have not too much issues/problems... be sure to check 'Make Me Admin' that can also be found there... many headaches resolved.
