View Full Version : All Protection In IE Never Fully Enabled

I consistently have 154 items in IE disabled whenever I start up SpywareBlaster. They are all cookies and they are all highlighted in red. They are things like Lop.com, Commission Junction, Offshore Clicks, Porn Tracker, Preferences.com, etc.

To get them blocked, I have to open up SpywareBlaster and click "Enable All Protection" whenever I start up my computer. This does not happen with the Restricted Sites or Mozilla/Firefox sections.

I am using version 3.4. In the version prior to this one, this problem did not occur for me.

I am using WinME, have Maxthon/IE6, and also have Ad-Aware, Spybot, and Spy Sweeper (not running in real-time - resource hog). I'm also running EZ Armor and BOClean, if that makes any difference. All these things were the same with the previous version of SpywareBlaster.

Does anyone know what is causing this problem? Thanks.

Hi Down the shore

Don't know whats causing your problem but sometimes a reinstall of the program works wonders.

Won't hurt to give that a try. Thanks.

It could be a conflict with one of your other anti-spyware apps. There are many threads here on these types of issues, here is just one,

I tried the uninstall/reinstall - that didn't make any difference.

Thanks for that link, Snowbound. At least I know I'm not the only one now with the problem.

One of the things mentioned in that link is CookiePal, which I do have, though that has never caused a problem in the past. I think I'm just going to manually add the sites that remain unblocked on SpywareBlaster to CookiePal's Reject List, and call it a day.
