1. How is antivir, compared to fprot?
2. Is their any av under 30 bucks with strong detection rates, good heuristics?
I think I got a istoolbar is my computer and mcafee enterprise isn't picking it up.

I don't know what "bucks" means, but i think it is dollars. ;D
VBA32 $23.60
F-prot $29
Bitdefender Standart $29.95
Dr.Web $33.90
Safe'n'Sec with AV $35 (it uses bitdefender engine)(they have %15 discount if you buy before 31 august. http://www.star-force.com/computer_security/bonus/ )
These are all good products, but my choice is VBA32 for good price/performance ratio.

NOD's around $40 the first year but from there on out it's more like $27 a year.

Have you checked McAfee's web site to be sure McAfee does not detect isttoolbar? Try the trial version of NOD which is free for a limited time before you buy.

HTH .. ;)

You can also try Avast! Pro for like 60 days I thin it is too and see if you like it. I don't believe it has heuristics but it found alot of malicious stuff on web site as I surfed and some of the others did not when I tested them on my system. Anyhow I think the trial idea is a good one to see how they work for your needs.

Dr Web is roughly $32 for a 2 year licence if you take advantage of their migration offer.

To configure McAfee 8.0i go here (http://www-tus.csx.cam.ac.uk/virus/VSE80config.html) mcafee enterprise will detect that malware if up to date and properly configured
