8)yup it me algain lol
check this out this is a rare problem and to this day i never seen a real straight answer from the vendor or even from experts
one day i installed software befor i even had a new cd burner but had an old Hp external 1x4 cd burner
I installed a software called ulead dvd picture show v2.0
worked great and everything it even burn on to cd
then i installed optorite cd burner 48x16x48 worked great updated firm ware and updated my aspi drives to that new adaptic aspi_v472a2
but after wiped out my hard did what i think was a clean install after i reformat c drive and reinstall all the software
the new ulead software cant locate my cd burner
i look in google for this problem with no straight answer and only found topics saying ulead has no tech suport this and that and they suck and it goes on and on
i did find one intresting topic
a person with a similar problem with another pice of software after the guy refomated his c drive and reinstalled everything he couldnt get the software to identify his cd burner even though it did in the past.
later on a person that had replyed mention something about ghost drives how some times old drivers that dont exsis hide in the pc so when software goes looking for the drivers it locates ghost drives that dont exsist and you get a cant find burner or cd rw drive
im wondering if this my problem
need help
here is the strange part
all software on my machine can detect my cd burner except ulead picture show 2.0 even thouh it did in the past it dosent anymore even with the upgrade patchs and upgrades
i installed the software on my dads pc with all upgrades and patchs works great but thats his pc it dont do me a bit of good lol
so any one know how to fix this lol

I can only guess here. Try going to your control panel/system/hardware/device manager and check the properties of that CD drive. Might be a bad setting there.
Also, why 3 CD Drives. You might try unhooking the external and see if that helps.
Also have you tried reinstalling the Ulead program?
In doing a search for ulead on google all you get is cracks. Man that is one popular program.
By the way, Ulead is for DVDs right? Are you sure that should work on an IDE CD-RW at all?
