Well if you look here (http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm#not-on-list) you will notice it is on the "Not on the List" section of Eric Howes website.

That being said, I would personally not use it. ;)

Hi,

Jay from Trlokom here. While we are not yet on
Eric Howes list, we sure hope we will be there soon
as we are the only browser firewall/sandbox in the
market that is integrated with spyware cleaner.
Close to 3000 people download it from our website
every day.

We stop spyware way before any other product can
and we address one of the root causes of spyware.

In couple of weeks, a new version will be released that
will catch all known and unknown keyloggers as well.
This is only the beginning and SpyWall is set to grow
and many new security features are being added.

Regards,
Jay

You hope to soon be on the "Rogue/Suspect Anti-Spyware List?" That seems odd to me.

hi Jay - is your product designed to work solely with Internet Explorer Browser? - it's not one i use unless i have to - i normally use firefox, opera and netscape. will there be support for all the popular browsers? - do we need Spywall if we don't use IE?

From the main site;

"SpyWall is currently only available for Internet Explorer. Versions for FireFox, Mozilla, IM Clients and e-mail clients will become available shortly"

Maybe in the new, upcoming version :-\ ?

Thanks Blackcat - i get the impression from reading these forums that if one doesn't run IE then 90% of spyware problems are solved immediately and there is little need for additional browser security?

I wouldn't say that changing to a non-IE browser solves all problems.

But since switching to FireFox/Opera, Counterspy has not picked up spyware on any of my machines.

The incidence of spyware may drop off but all browsers have vulnerabilities (http://www.mozilla.org/projects/security/known-vulnerabilities.html) and some more than others.

I agree with Blackcat.
Even when I was prudent and using MSIE6, I still had sometimes infections according my scanners, but after using Firefox (FF) even these infections disappeared.
Even when the next MSIE7 is as safe as FF, I will still use FF, because FF is also a very practical browser in many ways.
M$ has alot to learn from FF, not the other way.

Does that mean, I can replace ALL my anti-keyloggers with Spywall and never ever have a keylogger again on my computer ?

What I meant was that hopefully we will be on his recommended software list. Hope that clears it up.

That is true. We will release SpyWall 1.3 next week and you can try it and see for yourself that it detects all key loggers.

All keyloggers? Sounds interesting, though many have made that claim in the past and failed to live up to it. Would you mind explaining how Spywall is able to achieve this? Just a general explanation would suffice, no need to go into excessive detail, unless you want to. Thanks.

I'm not a security expert to evaluate Spywall, but if I was one, I would consider your statement as a real challenge and I would do everything to prove you are wrong by testing Spywall thoroughly.

BUT if you are right, than we all have an all-in-one solution for anti-keyloggers and most users are very afraid of keyloggers.
I wish you good luck in making that possible.
So I'm looking forward to the test results of Spywall done by security experts.

My experience with NEW softwares is that everybody is sceptical from the beginning, even in forums and after awhile you don't hear anything about it anymore, not even test results which probably were never done.
People are just afraid of new things.

Spywall looks good so far , feels a bit like Tiny firewall , with various sandbox features , but designed for the browser instead. When the new version comes out that supports other browsers besides IE it will be a lot more appealling.
