suspicious file?

In my Documents and Settings\My Name folder there is a file called .exe
That's it. no prefix or actual file name. Now I don't want to sound like a newb. I've been using computers since 1976... That said I still think it weird for a file to exist with no visible file name save it's suffix.

Have you run any scans with AV, AT, or AS scanners? If not, you might want to try that first. ;)
