Hi - I have a pre-sales question I hope you can answer.

We have a Dell, Win 2003 (SP1) box that has 2 mirrored 70g Scsi drives in it (RAID 1). The mirroring is done via a PERC 4/SC controller.

The drive(s) have 2 partitions on them and I'm looking to increase the size of the first partition. The second partition has some free space I can use.

My question is this, can I simply use the Disk Director Suite to resize the drives without data loss? I know that's the point of the program, but I'm confused as to whether it's that simple with mirroring going on etc.

Thanks in advance for your help!

David

Hello kavrick,

Thank you for yoyr interest in Acronis Disk Cloning and System Transferring Software (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

Yes, you can resize the drives with Acronis Disk Director Suite 9.0. Acronis program supports RAID and you can perform all available operations with partitions located on RAID disks without any special precautions.

Also I recommend you to test a trial version (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/download/diskdirector/) and see how the program works.

Thank you.
