I think the update is only for the SDK.....Mainly because "DirectX For Windows" (Not the Redistributable version) has not been updated.

on microsoft the date is still 2004 for sdk. so where is the update.fromwhere betanews got the file

Looking at that, it seems even more obvious that this new update is for the SDK only.
Speaking of BetaNews and other such sites, they have software which aren't yet listed on software vendor's sites. For example, these sites have the firmware T905 for my Samsung Optical Drive, but Samsung's website only says T902. :-\
