ZoneAlarm uninstallation- problem!!!!!

I uninstalled my ZoneAlarm Free, after which my computer has slowed down and experiencing CPU usage spikes.
I am unable to kill a process vsmon.exe which is a ZoneAlarm related process....I get the message "Access Denied".
My system is suddenly become so shabby.
Please help me....I have some urgent work to complete NOW.

If you are comfortable going into the registry, go the start/run/regedit and at the left top click edit, and then click on find and type what you are looking for in the box and then click on "find next" When it comes up right click it and delete.

What do you mean by type wht you are looking for?
I am trying to kill a process called vsmon.exe.....its a ZA related process.

I searched for vsmon and deleted a registry value associated with it.....still I cant kill the process :-[
