My wife is ready to take the plunge and invest in a digital camera for the very first time. She has already purchased a computer, a good picture quality printer, and a good photo-editing program in preparation, now she is ready for the camera itself.
She is beginning to feel a little bit overwhelmed by all the learning involved. I know absolutely nothing about this so I cannot help her.
Do you folks know of any good websites or forums to direct her to that can help her to properly use all this stuff? I would like to emphasize that these should be websites or forums directed toward newbies, folks just starting to learning.
EDIT: She is not looking for camera reviews, just learning sites.
Thank you,
Acadia

American Photo picks top digital cameras

The biggest review news this week is from American Photo Magazine. Out of the hundreds of digital cameras on the market, the magazine picked only a few dozen for examination in its "Best of 2005" issue.
Cheers ;D

What's the hurry? :D It takes time to learn photography. The good news is our darkrooms are on our computers now.
A couple of sites--

We used this site quite a lot when looking for a digital camera.
I have just looked now and it has certainly added a lot more things but it may be useful for the purpose http://www.imaging-resource.com/
Digital camera reviews and their forums are very interesting.
Another one which I found very useful reviews and getting to know the camera style details is http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/
Browse around both of them as there is more to find each time ;)

This still may not be what you are speaking of....but the Digital Imaging Forum @ the BBR\DLSR site is both a Chat Forum and How to Forum.
