Why do I need an uninstaller ?

Does it mean that "Add/Remove Programs" of Windows doesn't work properly ?
(Start / Settings / Control Panel / Add/Remove Programs)

ErikAlbert - a lot of programs leave bits behind when they unistall via their installer so depends on how clean you want things to be

Depends upon the program in question.

For example, Norton, although it has got better, is well-known for leaving a lot of entries behind, particularly in the registry and has specific removal tools for a more complete uninstall.

When testing AntiVirus, Firewall or in particular beta programs a clean uninstall is essential. TU is a great help in this way.
