View Full Version : Lost hard drive space

Tried to create two partitions from a ntfs partition. The first partition was a 4GB fat32 created with no problems. I then tried to split the remaining 30GB into two 15GB partitions, the first the original ntfs partition, the second being FAT32. Within the suite the partition is still shown as 29.18GB, with what should have been the second partition as used space within the original. Windows Xp only recognises 15GB of the NTFS partition, the other 15GB appears lost!

Any ideas?

Hello chalkie5,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Partition and Disk Managing Software (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/diskdirector/).

Please install the below update with disabled logging:

http://www.acronis.com/files/support/SnapAPI_s_e.exe

After that please try to change the size of the partition slightly and let us know whether the problem persists.

Thank you.
