View Full Version : Scheduled backups and changing partition sizes

Hi
I have a weekly scheduled backup of my E:\ partition.
Today I deleted the F:\ partition and resized the E:\ partition to take the freed space.
Do I need to make a new full backup of the E:\ partion for it to increment from, or will the incremental backups just handle this change internally without needing anything from me?
Thanks
Lauchlan Mackinnon
PS Is there a way to set some defaults here so it always sends me an email by default for replies?

Hello Lauchlan Mackinnon,
Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).
There is no need to create a full image backup because your scheduled incremental backup will handle this change.
You can choose to be notified by email when someone else replies to that thread. Choose E-mail notification in "Notification Type" window (See the attached picture).
You can also choose to receive email notifications of new posts in a thread without posting in that thread, by clicking the 'Subscribe to this thread' link displayed in the thread page.
Thank you,

Yes, I was aware of this.
My question is how to set a default for all posts I make, or all new threads I start, so I don't have to remember to select this notification setting each time.
Thanks

At the top of the page select "User CP". In the Control Panel under "Settings & Options", select "Edit Options" and then scroll down to "Messaging & Notification". Under "Default Thread Subscription Mode", select when you wish to be notified from the drop-down list (see screenshot below).

Thanks, got it.
The name 'CP User' did not make me think to look there . . .
