Hi guys,
Anyone running PG and ZA 6 with ZA 6's OSFirewall turned on? Are there conflicts? Thanks.

I am I right in assuming that ZA 6 OS Firewall pretty much does the same as the 'extras' (i.e. hooks and things) available in the paid for version of PG?
Therefore the free version of PG would provide a very nice complement to ZA 6?

Functionally they look very similar, though it appears that PG is probably more configurable and flexible. Also, there are certain functions in paid PG, e.g. Prevent Rootkits, which are not explicit in ZA Pro 6's description. Only time will tell, as more user feedback comes in, how much overlap there is between the two products, though based upon the documentation there is probably considerable.
Yes, PG free may be a good complement to ZA Pro 6 (or ZA Suite), but there may also be conflicts. So far, based upon very limited user feedback, there doesn't appear to be any. From what I have read so far, the vast majority of users don't even know what to make of OSFirewall/SmartDefense yet. It is any entirely new idea to them, and in many cases they are in the process of familiarization.
Hope this helps,
Rich

Thanks Rich. I think I'll install PG Free and see how it goes.

Just on a fyi I`d never get rid of PG, as Rich pointed out it does have extra features.
