Hi

I've installed Partition Expert Personal Edition Build 278. I am using XP SP2.

I've got a USB drive that I have deleted all the existing partitions, committed, re-booted then tried to create one single partion, but I can't make it a LOGICAL partition. This option is greyed out in the wizzard.

I just want the drive as a data drive, not to be bootable etc.

What am I doing wrong ?

Thanks

Paul

Hello Paul,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Partition and Disk Managing Software (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/diskdirector/).

The problem is that the disk cannot start with the logical partition. You need to create primary partition first. There is a known problem of 7.8Mb space in the beginning of the disk when it starts with the logical partition. You may read about it here (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?p=346787).

Thank you.
