OK - the moment of truth has unfortunately hit me. But then that's why I invested in TI 8.0 and a 300GB external drive right?
My laptop got corrupted by a wireless driver ...long story... It is a Dell Latitude C810 laptop running Win2K SP2 - I created a rescue disk for that computer and have had TI doing backups to a 300GB Seagate external USB 2.0 drive that was attached to a desktop that is on the network. with successful backups happening across the network.
Now that my laptop crashed and I need to restore it I (safely) removed the USB cable from the desktop and put it into the laptop's USB 1.1 and have been waiting for over 1 hour for Acronis' rescue disk to finish booting up The screen just says Loading, Please wait...
I had some initial issues with super long reboots on my desktop machine and cured them by removing a program called Intel Hardware Accellerator or something like that - anyway it was all fixed.
Any suggestions - an hour and 1/2 is kinda rediculous isn't it?
