its usually between (14-16)Mb. recently is showing 42Mb. Any reason why

Maybe nod32krn.exe has just updated virus database or performed scan.

No. Still around 42Mb.

Mine will do that (as well as mostly all my other processes) after I run a scan with A2 or Dr. Web. It seems that certain scanners use processes when scanning memory that causes this to happen. There is a thread somewhere around here with a decent explanation about it.
