I am using build 826 of True Image 8 to back up my hard disk. It seems to work ok in creating the images. Is there any reason to update to the latest build? If I do so, do I uninstall the previous version or install over it? Do I need to create a new boot CD?

i just update for the heck of it, and i dont know where they keep the change logs anyways. as for updating just install over the previous build and for the cd i recommend u create a new one just so theyll match version numbers and remember any bugs/fixes in the new build will also be present in the new rescue cd.

Just downloaded Build 903 via my Acronis account update page.
Have not had a chance to try it yet but noticed that the detail provided in "Full History of Changes" is as abysmal as ever.
To Acronis Support:
Surely Acronis's internal software Quality Control processes and procedures allow you to provide a much more detailed discription of the actual changes? For goodness sake, what does "Better hardware support", "GUI fixes" and "Acronis Secure Zone fixes" mean to anyone with a current problem ???
Acronis should look at other vendor web sites to see the level of detail we users expect to see e.g. check out a few of <Nero's "Release Notes" pages> (http://www.nero.com/eng/Nero_6_Reloaded_Release_Notes.html) to see what I mean.
