Hi, installed my original os, and then installed disk director suite, then followed instructions to install 2nd os, which all went fine.
Then i installed a third os, again following the instructions, but when the os started to install i got the message there is an existing windows folder, if you choose to install to this folder everything will be overwritten, so i named the installation folder windows1.
The install then went fine, and when i reactivated the os selector all three installations were there and booted fine, the problem is when i open c drive, on the first and third os's there are folders from one os accessible from the other, and vice versa, and i thought that these were supposed to be seperate, for each os?
Have i done something wrong, and if i delete one os now will it delete the files and folders from the other, any ideas for a solution please.
Also do i have to install disc director suite to each os to enable os booting from windows?
All three os's were installed to the same partition on c, and were all varius builds of xp pro.

Help please!!!

Hello yckmbfha,

Thank you for using Acronis Disk Management software (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/diskdirector/).

Please boot your computer into boot menu of Acronis OS Selector and enable folders protection in the Properties of every operating system you have. This should allow you to hide folders of every operating system from each other. And you probably forgot to do this before installing the third copy of Windows XP.

"Also do i have to install disc director suite to each os to enable os booting from windows?" - Yes, if you want to run Acronis OS Selector and select the OS to boot under Windows - then you should install it on every operating system you have.

Thank you.

Thanks for the reply , but i did enable folder protection before installing the third os, and it is enabled now, as i have checked. I can still see folders from one os , in the other. The windows folder however, shows as an empty folder if i open it, but the documents and settings folders contain all of the relevant files. Also , when installing another os, should i get the message during installation that another windows folder is in use? Also if i were to delete the last os , will it delete folders from the other os's? I dont mind removing and reinstalling, the other os's as i have just set them up to try out a few things. With each os install should i have a boot from floppy tab , ie boot from floppy, boot from floppy1 and boot from floppy2, and at the start of installing a new os should i let os selector open first and select the relevent boot from floppy tab that i have set up for that install, before rebooting and loading from the windows cd? Thanks for your time!

Could you please create Acronis Report in the way described at Acronis Help Post (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=55317) and send it to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread indicating in the subject of the letter that you want to contact Andrew Berezovsky? Also please describe in the letter on which partition your three copies of Windows are located.
