This is a very hard difficult question which i honestly don't even know if it can be answered.

There are 4 people living in a house

A father a mother a child and a roommate.
rent is 850
phone is 56
cable is 15
water is 70
food is 428
power (pg&e) 106

there are 30 days in the month of June

roommate only works 27.50 hours a week a total of 108 hours he is not home

The father of the house works 12 hours a day a total of 240 hours he is not home

the mother and child are always home except for 2 hours a day

the father eats 2 meals a day 3 on the weekends

the mother and child eat 3 meals a day every day

roommate eats 1 meal a day and two on the weekends

the roommate uses the phone rarely because he has a cell phone and only uses the house phone for local calls

basic phone service is 30 dollars

the roommate gets charged 412 for rent includes everything food utility's power basically 1 fouth of everything because there are 4 people

but doing the math what should he be paying since he consumes less food and power

even harder question how would you break it dowen for each individual even child

Forgetting about the amount of power consumption each individual is using being that this is neither here nor there, the total monthly bill is $1555 (including phone) divide this by 3.5 (3 adults and .5 for the child) then the single adult should be paying $444 per month, so in fact they are ahead of the eight ball ;) ;D

Cheers ;D

-{ Quote: "food is 428" }-

They must be eating the same thing every month then?

Besides of the math:
Let us suppose that the roommate is a friend of the family, I would say that all should try to avoid to get into too much quarrel among them about the issue.
I know, that is easily said by me. But staying friends is also important ;)

Take good care Blaze ! ;)
Cheers, Jan.

Well if their getting more out of the roommate than he's supposed to pay, then go for it. If their getting less, then make him wash half the dishes to make it up. ;D (After their all dried and crusty of course.) ;D
