-{ Quote: "The program lets you do smooth sailing flybyes of the entire Earth. You can easily fly to any spot on the globe, by entering any associated data, like street addresses, place names or lat/long coordinates. There are overlays that put additional information on the map, like roads, international boundaries, terrain, 3D buildings, crime statistics, schools, stadiums, any number of interesting stuff.
You can do Local searches in the program, with icons on the map and a display on the side showing your results. You can leave notes, called “placemarks” all over the map, so you can remember where all sorts of places are. Searches and placemarks can be saved as bookmarks in “My Places”. Everything can be output in an XML format called KML, that will allow the vast popularity of Google Maps to continue in Earth. You can also email a JPEG of the map, or send a KMZ file if you know the recipient has Earth installed.
Google Earth Plus gives higher resolution images, GPS support, and more sophisticated annotation (like drawing on the map)." }-

I was just looking at this last night, very very cool ;D It was kind of creepy, though, that you could zoom in enough to see the car parked in our driveway! It has some useful features like drivinig directions, but it's also a lot of fun to just travel around the world and see neighborhoods in various countries, and 3d images of various landmarks.

Did you d/ld the Round version or the Flat version? To run the Flat version you have to have a couple of screws loose. No, that couldn't be the problem! Maybe if you hum a few bars of 'Running Bear' whilst peeking at the 'Bravettes' abathing in Ye Olde Swimmin Hole the secret may be revealed to you.........If that dosen't work.........I've got more good ideas
Always here to assist, big ed

Thanks ed....What a Pal you are....always there at a weeks notice with instant indefinable assistance for the mentally confused....who would I really be if it wasn't for your assistance........
I took your advice regarding the screws being loose....so I went round the old Puter with my little 'Silver 2lb. Hammer' and tightened everything...even my nuts....The Computer and I are feeling much better now....
Finally got the Google Earth (The Flat Version of course) to work, but it made me feel sick (Flying and tilting stuff) so I ex D/Ld it....feeling better already...
I only hope Detox doesn't try it...he'll be barfing for a Month.... ;D ;D
And never you mind what me and my old Cayuse 'Paint' the Pinto get up to at the watering hole with Bravettes.....you've set me off now....I think I need to lay down for a while........... ;D *puppy*

I used it a little before this trip I am on and it seems like a great program. It is almost good enough to see a couple of mosquitos procreating in an old cup of coffee in an alley in Dallas or Hong Kong ;)

I really love this program. The girls keep playing with it too. It should really help with them learning Geography. Only large cities in Canada come through with detail. I have a really good friend up right now who moved to Beaumont, Texas a few years back and he was able to show me his house and the hospital he works at(since I have never been there), all from the comfort of my home. That was really cool.

BB and I just tried this out. It's pretty cool. Don't anybody worry about being spied on though. The pictures of our house are at least 2 years old. We've had some major road construction since then and it doesn't even show up.
