Hi there,

in TDS3 help file it is said :
When our programmer receives packets on UDP port 31337 (Back Orifice 1.x default port), he uses the TDS-3 UDP Broadcast utility to send back "Would you like a Coke with that ma'am?".

but it is also said: that UDP broadcast...
"Allows transmission of UDP packets (datagrams) to any IP address. Sending a packet to a domain ending in .255 will result in a "broadcast" to all machines in that domain (1-254). If a friend is listening on a UDP port using TDS, you can use this utility to broadcast to that port with a message you would like him/her to see."

If I would like to act the same way than your programmer, what
conditions are needed to send and reach the remote target ?

- identification of remote target, that's ok !
- find an open port on the remote target ? any port ?
- Do both computers need to be connected on same port ?
- Do both computers need to have TDS enabled , if I want the target to receive my datagram ?
- What Remote target without TDS would receive (and how) ?

Certainly basic, sorry, but I'ven't tried it yet :-(

T.I.A for help, friendly
