Am I the only one seeing the Eset website showing the current version as 1.1152 when my Nod32 has updated today to version 1.1154? I always keep Eset as my homepage so I can monitor that I am up to date - very nice to be actually ahead of the game for once in my life!

I'd like to know who/how/when the "official" web sites get updated - as we have to MANUALLY find a copy of the information and enter it into our web accessible database for our web site.
The first information I found on 1.153 was found on nod32.ch - and as you can still see, it's incomplete:
http://www.nod32.ch/support/info.stm#CurVersion
the data is cut-off at in the middle of a signature... so we continued to hunt, finding a full database some 16 hours later with the correct information courtesy of Paolo at NOD32.IT.
We try to grab the information on the database updates as soon as they are available, from wherever we can find them. If there is a significant delay, we'll post a "details to follow" update on our site...

Stan - hadi and I were referreing to the Eset home page- http://www.nod32.com/home/home.htm
(Which btw is still v. 1.1152)
Greg- I think that is what hadi and I were asking about also. :)

jayt,
I know that's what you're asking about - I've been trying to get that information for months - being a web programmer by trade, I'd LOVE to be able to link my update infor REALTIME to a source that I didn't have to update manually - perhaps one day it will be possible ... until then, I'll continue to push the manual update out as and when I see that have happened...

Greg

Now it gets worse. On the Eset web page, which seems to have been redesigned (the right side of the page is missing) , the current virus database version is listed as 1.1149 (2005621). But when you click on that it still references v. 1.1152. I guess eventually someone there will get it straightened out. :-)

Version number on main page now replaced by an ad inviting non NOD infected computer users to try a free cleaner. The support update info page is behind also.

Yep it lists update 1.1155 (on support info page) but when you click on it, it takes you to update 1.1152. We have no way of knowing what were in any subquesent updates after 1.1152--rather annoying that something so simple can't be addressed. :(

Jayt,
No matter what it says on the official nod32.com site, we hunt down the updates as fast as they are available to us [within reason - we have to sleep - ;) ].
When it comes to obtaining the latest update information, we've had to look in as many as 4 different ccTLD sites - nod32.ch, nod32.ch, nod32.it, nod32.sk - when we find the update, we'll publish it here:
http://www.nod32usa.com/nod32-updates/
You can't get too down on the guys/gals at Eset - they're building an anti-virus solution, and efforts should go into that much more than the web site, although linking the website to a database would be fairly easy (well for us it would)...

Thanks (Greg?) "webyourbusiness". I have bookmarked the page you referenced. This will be my last post on this subject since it seems not too many people are interested. But I still think it is a strange way to run a business. Ah well, there are other AVs out there. So it is not the end of the world.

I don't think that problems with ESET's website are so often. And think about other AV only because of this problem seems ridiculous for me..

I've seen worse problems, y'know.....when I was using another AV, the developer's ISP backbone had problems and so we had no updates for a week or so :o:o

We're all wrong, the Eset page is being updated just as usual here:
http://www.eset.com/support/info.htm
However, the old page is not being updated anymore:
http://www.eset.com/scriptless/support/info.htm
Wouldnt Marcos be aware of this? I'm wondering why we werent given a response from ESET on this....:-\

Come on guys (and gals). In the grand scheme of things, does it really matter? As long as the version on your pc's is the up to date one then whats on the website isnt really too much to worry about is it?

pc-support, I am chilled - I also know what I find when I grab updates for our own site... I've been grabbing them for months, and I know what I find... sometimes it's the 4th or 5th site that I have to visit in order to get the updates... although NOD32.SK is the first I look at...
