The rescue version of Disk Director will stop responding somewhere during the wrapped Linux kernel is initializing. Debugging info shows that it stops responding when initializing pci/ide2/bus0/target0/lun0 (something like that).
It's a promise Fasttrak100 PCI IDE card. However, before it loses response, it already correctly detected the card and all the hard drives plugged in the card.
This problem is shown in version 9.0.0.538. Version 9.0.0.534 doesn't have this problem. This problem also shows up in recent versions of True Image.
