read that on the BBC - amazing this is down to just one guy working for them, been arrested now FBI looking at the largest **** up at Mastercard and there have been a few?

I've been following this story from an end user POV.
The ramifications continue to gather pace.
What a farce especially on top of the other recent data thefts; Choice point etc.
Here in Oz a spokesperson from our third biggest bank said "this shouldn't be too big a problem, probably only a couple of thousand customers should be affected"
!!!??##%%**
That statement is apalling from so many points of view.
Here we are good and interested gnomes beavering away helping each other to protect ourselves and our friends; and the big boys (to whom we pay MASSIVE fees) are leaking like the Titanic.
I just occassionally feel so defeated and so sad at the rampant cynicism and lack of concern.
